Performance of Broiler in Cages with Different Temperatures at Dramaga, Bogor

Temperature is one of the environment factors that has highly impacts on the growth of broilers. The aim of this research is to evaluate the broiler performance in different environment temperatures. Design of this research was Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with three treatments, namely : P1 (23 0C, used AC), P2 (28 0C, natural environment) and P3 (30 0C, used heater). The collected data were analyzed by Anova (Analysis of Variance). The research was started when the birds were 3 to 5 weeks of age. Feed consumption, water consumption, body weight gain, feed conversion, mortality, body weight, and indeks performance were parameters collected to evaluate performances of broiler. Results showed that broilers at P1 had the best growth performance compare with others. Water consumption shows that in the last fifth week at P1 is significantly different (p0.05), and indeks performance at P1 is 327, at P28 is 289 and at P3 is 292.
